TRAK’D Vision: We provide educationally and culturally appropriate instruction to kids and parents so children can succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics

TRAK’D is committed to:

1) Assisting parents, especially those in underserved communities, prepare their children in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).

2) Preparing the youth in our community for STEAM careers

Program Description:

Four STEAM kits will be developed and used during each workshop in the following subject areas Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.   Each of the four subjects will include an art component to highlight the importance of the Arts in each of the major subjects below. student, parent, teacher friendly STEAM laboratory manuals will be developed to clearly provide curriculum instruction used to complete each innovative STEAM kit.

The kits will also be used for TRAK’D distance learning. Each STEAM kit developed will provide step by step parent and student friendly program instruction in which all parents and students can access from the TRAK’D.org website.

FUTURE VISION:

The mobile TRAK’D Center, “The STEAM Ride” will be an innovative mobile unit that will promote STEAM literacy and improve learning outcomes overall. The STEAM Ride will have the ability to travel from locations throughout the county and beyond to provide hands on exciting, learner centered, research based instruction.

We want the center to be an innovative place where kids can imagine, create, play, discover, read and develop critical thinking skills. We also want to empower kids and encourage them to navigate through the world. The teaching taking place at the center will be a tool for life beyond STEAM. We want our students to be prepared for the future, to become entrepreneurs. It is important that the students learn to become goal oriented and proactive when considering their future. Thus, the TRAK’D team is dedicated to this cause so that we will aid in producing quality, versatile leaders of tomorrow.
